Queenscliff Music Festival Drop Their Best Line Up Yet

qmf2016

Dropping their first line up announcement, Queenscliff Music Festival 2016 unveiled 12 acts for this year’s festival, taking place on Friday 25th – Sunday 27th November.  Not only is it one of QMF’s best line ups yet, but they’re also turning a whopping 20 years old.

“Turning 20 is a major milestone and we’re really excited about the festival this November. We’ve assembled a fantastic program to celebrate the occasion. Queenscliff is more than just the music though… It’s about great shows, comfy surrounds, a family friendly vibe, yummy food & drinks, all in the beautiful historic Queenscliff and right on the shores of Port Phillip Bay. This is a 20th anniversary party you don’t want to miss!” – Festival Director Andrew Orvis.

In the first announcement QMF revealed a run of both national and international music icons, including Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals. It’s been eight years since an album release from Harper and the festival crowd will be christened with his newest album ‘Call It What It Is’. Alongside Harper and his band will be Aussie legends Paul Kelly & Charlie Owen. Joining forces, these two are an act not to be missed, especially being Kelly’s first time back to play the QMF stage since 2007.

Joining the list of great Australian acts are Alpine, Urthboy, and Ash Grunwald. Alpine bring an unmissable set of vibrant, quirky, and hypnotising theatricals to deliver their signature indie-pop sound. Urthboy has been under the music radar for over ten years and with five albums now under his belt he is sure to entertain with his award-winning hip hop.  Ash Grunwald serves up earth-shaking political blues and will be doing so at QMF this year with a full band line up.

QMF 2016 will play host to over 80 local and international acts along the seaside of Victoria. With an array of accommodation, food, and wine surrounding the festival QMF makes for a hospitable event for all crowds. Tickets are due to go on sale Friday 1st July.
