Radio France to Sell 1.5 Million Strong Record Collection
One of Europe’s biggest vinyl collectors, Radio France, is set to sell off part of it’s 1.5 million record collection this winter.
The radio station will sell off 5,000 records from their Maison de la Radio HQ with further sales expected as the station begins to digitise its archive.
“An electronic selection has been present since it started in the ’70s, but we prefer no style. Jazz, classical, rock also have their place in this sale,” said Radio France’s Deputy Director of Documentation, Marc Maret.
The first auction will take place on June 19, but before you head over to the sale have a stroll through Radio France’s collection with legendary producer Madlib.
