Ratking Release New Single & ‘We’re All Arsonists’ Tour

Perth based Hardcore/Surf outfit Ratking have just released their punishing and high octane new single, with accompanying music video, Shockwaves.

The band have also announced they will be joining She Cries Wolf on their national tour, with Brisbane 5-piece Stepson. The ‘We’re All Arsonists’ tour will be the first national tour for the Western Australian outfit.

Ratking have been super busy recently, releasing singles Invite and So Wrecked Youth last year, and touring with the likes of Norma Jean and In Hearts Wake.

The band’s new single Shockwaves is thrashier than their previous releases, with more focus placed on brutality and emotion, rather than melody. The song features call and response vocals between the two vocalists, with heavy guitars chugging along in the background. The lyrics speak of society, and the difficulty of fitting in, with lines such as “Your mind is a murderous engine”.
