Red Bull + Flight Facilities = Sydney Weekender
Following headline performances at Laneway Festival and Splendour in the Grass, Sydney electronic duo Flight Facilities are teaming up with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to headline Australia’s first Red Bull Music Academy Weekender. If this doesn’t give you wiings, nothing will!
The duo will bring their most popular singles and tracks from their ARIA-nominated debut album ‘Down To Earth’ to Sydney in September. Fans can expect to see amazing live renditions of their most popular hits including Sunshine, Two Bodies, and Clair de Lune, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
Red Bull Music Academy Weekender curators Jimmy Sing and Jamie Bennet say the globally-renowned event will feature 40 artists and 12 shows over four days, culminating in a celebration of Sydney’s culture and the modern music scene.
The Red Bull Music Academy has been travelling around the world since 1998, combining old-school knowledge with fresh new sounds in the world’s culture centres. Over 1,500 musicians have come through The Red Bull Music Academy and the event boasts an impressive list of former lecturers including Mark Ronson and M.I.A. The Academy showcases stacks of fresh new talent on the Future Classic stage every year at Laneway Music Festival.
Tickets for the Red Bull Music Academy Weekender go on sale Thursday 28 April.
