Red Deer Festival Announce Dates & Early Bird Tickets
Brisbane’s favourite BYO festival and infamous weekend sleepover party is back for 2016 and promises to be bigger than ever!
The Red Deer Music and Arts Festival will return to the Mt Samson natural amphitheatre in late October for another weekend of fantastic grassroots festival atmosphere and amazing live music, with alumni including The Grates, Regurgitator, The Kite String Tangle, Frenzal Rhomb, and Kingswood just to name a few.
Limited discount early bird tickets, which sold out in a matter of hours last year, go on sale 7am Friday 6th of May and are “a chance for the Red Deer faithful to save a pretty penny” says land owner and Festival organiser Julian De Maria.
This year’s Festival has allocated an unprecedented number of spots on the lineup for emerging artists, particularly those from the Moreton Bay area.
“We’ve reevaluated what’s really important to us at Red Deer, and more than anything, we want to support as many passionate, local, emerging acts as we can. We’re blessed to be a part of the Moreton Bay region, and this year we want to provide even more opportunities to grow the arts scene in this beautiful part of the world,” said Festival Director Bas Pelly.
Red Deer are also looking for volunteers and an eclectic mix of market stalls, food vendors, and local businesses wishing to be a part of the 2016 Festival.
The Festival will be welcoming more ‘day’ ticket holders this year in the hope of reducing the carbon footprint on the beautiful site made by campers and cars. This will mean shuttle bus tickets will be significantly reduced from Ferny Grove and Petrie train stations.
However don’t freak if you’re a full weekender, the Festival will still offer overnight camping tickets and VIP ‘Our Deerest’ tickets, which include guest camping, hospitality and merch packs, and access to the VIP backstage bar.
