RISSA Unveils Soul-Stirring New EP ‘WHERE LOVE ONCE WAS’

Sydney-based R&B artist RISSA has released her stunning new EP, ‘WHERE LOVE ONCE WAS’, a soulful exploration of love, heartbreak, and self-empowerment. Written over three days with New Zealand collaborators Edy Liu and Sam V, the project captures the full emotional arc of a relationship — from first spark to final goodbye.

Blending buttery synths, lush harmonies, and velvety vocals, RISSA delivers a sound reminiscent of Cleo Sol, Mahalia, and Snoh Aalegra, while carving her own distinctive lane in Australia’s R&B landscape. The EP’s focus track, ‘ALL I NEED’, radiates pure honeymoon energy — the “kicking your feet in the air” kind of love song, as RISSA describes.

With previous singles ‘FALL OUT’ and ‘FOREVER’ receiving airplay on triple j, CADA, and fbi radio, and amassing over 20 million Spotify streams, RISSA continues to emerge as one of Australia’s leading new voices in R&B.

Drawing on her Polynesian and Australian roots, RISSA infuses gospel-inspired melodies with modern R&B finesse, creating music that feels both intimate and empowering.

‘WHERE LOVE ONCE WAS’ is out now, everywhere — a must-listen for lovers of heartfelt, timeless R&B.
