RONA Drops Powerful New Single ‘Burn It’ feat. KYE

Melbourne/Naarm-based DJ and producer RONA. has released her latest single, Burn It, featuring neo-soul artist KYE. The track arrives on the anniversary of the First Nations Voice to Parliament referendum.

Burn It is a compelling anthem of resistance and renewal, addressing the systemic issues amplified by the referendum and the widespread ‘no’ vote. The track’s message urges listeners to dismantle outdated structures that no longer serve First Nations communities, creating space for transformation and new growth.

“It was a moment of clarity—our collective need to burn down systems that have never served us, that are suffocating our communities. It was a recognition that colonial systems haven’t been serving any of us. To heal, to reimagine, we need to create space for new shoots, for new journey lines.” – RONA.

Infused with deep emotion and cultural significance, RONA.’s production combines raw electronic beats with KYE’s soulful, commanding vocals, delivering a hard-hitting message of collective strength and regeneration.

Following closely behind her previous release Raise It, this new single presents another layer of RONA.’s evolving vision, focusing on the power of deconstruction and rebirth. While Raise It highlights uplifting strength, Burn It serves as a rallying cry to burn down old systems to make way for something new.

With Burn It, RONA continues to cement her status as a force in Australia’s electronic and First Nations music scene. It’s available now, everywhere via Rarre Records.
