Royel Otis Share Infectious New Single ‘say something’ Ahead of Album ‘hickey’
Indie-pop favourites Royel Otis are back with ‘say something’, a shimmering and emotionally charged single lifted from their highly anticipated sophomore album hickey, out later this year.
The Sydney duo, made up of Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic continue their rise as one of Australia’s most exciting acts, with ‘say something’ delivering a bittersweet fusion of jangle-pop charm, nostalgic 80s drums, and dreamy vocals that beg for emotional clarity. Premiered on The Zane Lowe Show and added to Apple Music’s New Music Daily, the track marks yet another global step forward for the pair.

Co-written with hitmakers Billy Walsh (Post Malone, The Weeknd) and Omer Fedi (Lil Nas X, The Kid LAROI), ‘say something’ follows the chart-topping success of ‘moody’, which spent two weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart. The band’s current run of releases has seen them dominate airwaves from triple j to BBC Radio 1, and light up stages across the globe.
Royel Otis will bring their electric live show back home this October with a sold-out national tour, including headline sets at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall.
