Ruel Unveils New Single ‘Wild Guess’ Ahead of Sophomore Album Kicking My Feet

Australian global pop superstar Ruel has returned with his brand-new single ‘Wild Guess’. The intimate and stripped-back track offers fans another taste of his highly anticipated sophomore album, Kicking My Feet, set for release on Friday, 17 October 2025.

Co-written by Ruel alongside acclaimed songwriters Leroy Clampitt (Justin Bieber, Madison Beer) and Dan Wilson(Adele, Taylor Swift), “Wild Guess” blends soft, folk-inspired vocals with raw acoustic textures. The single delicately explores the unraveling of a relationship, with Ruel’s heartfelt lyrics capturing the bittersweet acceptance of love lost.

Lines such as “I’m not so sure / but I’m taking a wild guess / you’re slipping away from me” highlight the emotional depth of his evolving artistry. The track builds slowly before reaching its poignant chorus: “It’s been a wild ride, but I won’t be your baby anymore”, cementing it as one of his most vulnerable releases to date.

‘Wild Guess’ marks the third offering from Kicking My Feet, following earlier singles ‘The Suburbs’ and ‘I Can Die Now.’ The upcoming album showcases Ruel’s most creatively liberated and sonically adventurous work yet, shaped with top-tier producers including Julian Bunetta, Joel Little, Kenny Beats, M-Phazes, and Wilson.

To close out 2025, Ruel will perform a special hometown show at the Sydney Opera House steps on Tuesday, 9 December, a fitting celebration for one of Australia’s most beloved and internationally recognised artists.
