Sampology Fuses The Organic & Inorganic Worlds On The Stunning ‘Mt Glorious’

Already rivalling 2016—arguably his biggest year yet—Brisbane producer, Sampology, has returned with the stunning reverie of Mt Glorious.

Mt Glorious is all about delicate balance. Finding solace in the ethereal, inner movements of music itself, Sampology digs deep to provide a piece of music that is not living and breathing, but an essential an arrangement that stands the test of time. Piled with live instrumentation, samples and his own electronic flair, Sampology, better than ever, has fused the organic and inorganic. Mt Glorious is written about a beautiful National Park just outside of Brisbane of the same name.

Originally penned as an expansive, 11-minute piece of music, Mt Glorious, the version we hear today, is a more succinct and ethereal imaging of Sampology’s mindset at the time. He says of the track:

“I was in a very specific zone when I made this song. In my head it was just me in the middle of the national park while I first started making it, I had just visited Mt Glorious for the first time recently,” explains Sampology.

Mt Glorious is the first track of an EP releasing this year of the same name. The collection of music is set to peel back the curtain of Samplogy’s inner workings as a production—giving one of his most personal pieces of work yet.
