Fun Lovin’ Criminals Australia Bound
After 20 years of “running around robbing banks all whacked on Scooby Snacks”, New York’s Fun Lovin’ Criminals are coming back to Australia to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal album ‘Come Find Yourself’.
The anniversary sees the return of the band who’s ability to merge and transcend genres saw them become one of the most unique and exciting groups of the 90’s. Fun Lovin’ Criminals will hit Australia this November to celebrate and resurrect in all its glory the album that saw them become the band they are today.
20 years on, this debut release for the group sounds as good as it did in 1996, when it spent almost a year in the UK chart. The anniversary will be the first time Huey Morgan, Brian Leiser, and Frank Benbini will play the album live AND IN FULL since its release.
‘Come Find Yourself’ is a record where each and every track is as memorable as the next. It combines hints of hip hop, rock, blues, jazz, funk, and soul along with Huey Morgan’s extensive knowledge and collection of music.
“Our debut album burned a path for crossing genres that we now take for granted. The music is now part of our collective lexicon and we are very proud to be able to play it live and share our love of diversity which we have always, as a band, championed,” Morgan says.
