Selena Gomez Announces Her First Australian Tour!

After becoming the most followed person on Instagram, Selena is about to add another notch to her achievements belt with her first Australian tour!

The Swift squad member will hit our stages this August as part of her ‘Revival World Tour’, giving us a taste of her charting new album. ‘Revival’ surged to the Top 10 in Australia, with fan favourites Good For You and Hands to Myself dominating the airwaves.

Three years ago Gomez broke hearts when she abruptly cancelled her first Down Under tour in order to take some time for herself.

“It has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be,” Gomez said.

It was later revealed that the cancellation was the result of a stint in rehab, not for substance abuse, but for emotional council after being diagnosed with lupus and her break up with on/off boyfriend Justin Bieber.

After years of waiting in the wings, Aussie Gomez fans will finally get their day. She will play three East Coast shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane which is bad news for any die hard West Coast fans – but remember she’s only a plane ride away!

But, the good news is Gomez has clearly kept in touch with her Disney roots, teaming up Joe Jonas’s new band DNCE who will open for her in Sydney and Melbourne. They will be promoting their debut EP ‘Sway’.
