Siobhan Cotchin’s Bigsound 2022 Recommendations
After releasing her latest single ‘Fill My Cup’ we caught up with WA artist Siobhan Cotchin to hear who she’s most excited to see at next week’s Bigsound festival.
For fans of Julia Jacklin, Kacey Musgraves and Lucy Dacus, Siobhan creates super charming music that easily dips between genres. The emerging star has some impressive achievements under her belt already, winning a Western Australian Music Award last year, signing with Tone City Records and sharing stages with Leon Bridges, Teskey Brothers, The Whitlams and more. Her debut release with Tone City Records, ‘Fill My Cup’ was produced & engineered by Sam Ford (POND, Abbe May, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets) and really cements her as one of Australia’s most exciting rising talents.

With less than a week to go until Bigsound takes over Fortitude Valley, we got Siobhan to outline her must-see artists at this year’s festival, check out her recommendations below!
Adrian Dzvuke
Adrian Dzvuke is one of my favourite acts in WA. His music and live shows are so energetic and fun! He’s so effortlessly cool and has really made me appreciate the R&B and Afrobeats genres.
Ghost Care
Yet another incredible act straight out of WA, I love Ghost Care because I really connect with their music. Ghost Care is bringing something really innovative and fresh to the indie-rock genre with every new release, and I’m obsessed!
Jenny Mitchell
I first met Jenny Mitchell at the Tamworth Academy of Country Music waaaaayyyy back in 2014, and I’ve been a fan ever since! She is an incredible songwriter and I’m in awe of her songs, I cannot wait to get my country fix at Big Sound!
Budjerah
I adore Budjerah! His songs are so soulful and relatable, and his VOICE!! He’s so incredible, I cannot wait to see him live! I am loving his track, ‘What Should I Do?’, I really resonate with the lyrics.
Andy Golledge
There are some incredible country acts gracing the Big Sound stage, and Andy Golledge is one of them, of course! I have heard so many awesome things about his live shows and I cannot wait to see him perform! I also love country music with that rock-edge, I think Andy perfectly captures the essence of both genres.
