Sleepazoid Release Bold New Single ‘NEW AGE’ Ahead of Sophomore EP

Melbourne/Naarm alt-rock favourites Sleepazoid are back with their explosive new single ‘NEW AGE’, out now. The track arrives fresh off the band’s buzzworthy BIGSOUND 2025 showcases and serves as the title track to their forthcoming sophomore EP, due early 2026.

‘NEW AGE’ is a gritty, melodic anthem that captures the evolution of identity after heartbreak. Written by frontwoman Nette France in the wake of a major life transition, the single navigates grief, renewal, and the rediscovery of self. Powered by angsty riffs, punchy drums and Nette’s commanding vocals, the track delivers both emotional rawness and bold defiance.

“Anyone that’s been through a big break-up can probably resonate with how lost and disoriented you feel,” Nette shares. “‘NEW AGE’ is me taking stock of all the changes I’ve made in myself and in my life.”

The release caps off a massive year for Sleepazoid, following their breakout triple j high rotation single ‘ALICE’, the streaming success of ‘3AM’, and a run supporting Faye Webster on her sold-out Australian tour. With their NEW AGE EP on the horizon and appearances at Sydney’s SXSW 2025, Sleepazoid are cementing themselves as one of Australia’s most exciting rising rock acts.
