SOFT PLAY Drop New Single ‘Slushy’ ft. Kate Nash Ahead of ‘HEAVIER JELLY’ Release

UK punk duo SOFT PLAY are keeping the momentum going with their latest single, Slushy, featuring Kate Nash. The high-energy track arrives as part of their upcoming expanded album, HEAVIER JELLY, set for release on April 18. Following the success of their critically acclaimed 2024 album HEAVY JELLY, which hit #3 on the UK charts, the duo are now unveiling a broader, more experimental collection of tracks that push their signature punk, garage rock, and hardcore sound even further.

“These songs are the bastard children of ‘Heavy Jelly’, strange experimentations/ delusions that didn’t fit the mould. I’m excited for our fans to get a glimpse into some more music that came from the world of ‘Heavy Jelly’. Strap in.” – Laurie Vincent, Soft Play.

Slushy delivers a raw proto-punk energy, with Isaac Holman and Kate Nash trading call-and-response barbs over a fast-paced, garage rock-infused beat. First premiered by Craig Charles on BBC 6Music, the track highlights SOFT PLAY’s fearless approach to genre-bending punk anthems.

As SOFT PLAY continue their massive 2025 tour, which includes their first North American dates since 2018, a Coachella appearance, and international festival slots, their explosive return shows no signs of slowing down.

Pre-order HEAVIER JELLY now and stream Slushy to experience SOFT PLAY’s latest punk-fuelled collaboration.
