Sophian Show Their Best with Debut EP, ‘Somewhere In Between’
Boorloo/Perth-based indie outfit Sophian has just unveiled their debut EP, ‘Somewhere In Between’, a collection of six euphoric tracks that blend indie-rock arrangements with pop-infused melodies. The EP reflects hope and contemplation, capturing moments of personal and emotional growth.
Opening with ‘Knee Deep In The Ocean’, the EP sets a tone of ethereal introspection. Arpeggiated guitar lines swirl effortlessly, creating a luminous atmosphere that ebbs and flows. The weightless aura is enhanced by layered harmonies and lush vocals, especially in the instrumental break, which adds a sense of dreamlike serenity. The lyrics, “Just tryna survive, been late to arrive. As the track fades, it seamlessly leads into ‘Changing The Weather’, where a pulsing bassline grounds the arrangement.
