Soulwax Announce New Album All Systems Are Lying, Share Pulsating New Single ‘New Earth Time’

Belgian electronic pioneers Soulwax have returned with their brand-new single New Earth Time, the latest taste of their forthcoming album All Systems Are Lying, out October 17th.

The track is a hypnotic, rhythm-driven cut that dissects the digital facades and fractured truths of modern life. Built on modular synths, live drums, tape machines and processed vocals, New Earth Time captures the raw intensity of a band playing electronic instruments live, loud, and unrestrained.

All Systems Are Lying, the duo’s first studio album in seven years, “We wanted to capture the feeling of a band playing electronic instruments — live, loud and loose,” shared David & Stephen. “This record is the result of that experiment.”

Across the record, Soulwax turn their meticulous studio craft into a bold experiment — a reflection of a world distorted by filters, algorithms and noise.

The new single follows on from the album’s double A-side lead, All Systems Are Lying / Run Free, which earned heavy rotation on BBC6 Music, KCRW, KEXP, SiriusXM and Radio 1, while also receiving critical praise from Pitchfork, NME, Clash, Consequence of Sound, The Line of Best Fit and more.

With over two decades of innovation under their belt, Soulwax have consistently pushed boundaries through their band projects, DJ alias 2manydjs, record label DEEWEE, and the immersive Despacio sound system (created alongside James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem). Their discography includes seven acclaimed studio albums, as well as a long list of era-defining remixes for artists including Daft Punk, Tame Impala, The Rolling Stones, Robyn, Arcade Fire, Peggy Gou, and Fontaines D.C.
