Soulwax Drop Double Single ‘Gimme a Reason / Meanwhile on the Continent’ Ahead of New Album All Systems Are Lying

Legendary Belgian dance outfit Soulwax have unveiled their latest double single, Gimme a Reason and Meanwhile on the Continent, the final preview from their highly anticipated new album All Systems Are Lying, set for release on October 17th.

On Gimme a Reason, the Dewaele brothers deliver a propulsive and euphoric cut that builds with relentless intensity, showcasing their knack for merging live instrumentation with electronic production. Meanwhile, Meanwhile on the Continent takes a darker, more percussive route, led by sharp drumming and razor-edged precision. Both tracks highlight the band’s fearless approach to innovation, reaffirming their status as pioneers in modern electronic and dance music.

All Systems Are Lying is Soulwax’s first studio album in seven years, described by the duo as “a rock album made without any electric guitars.” Built entirely from modular synths, live drums, tape machines and processed vocals, the record captures the feeling of a band performing electronic instruments live and loud, while reflecting on truth and distortion in the digital age.

The album’s rollout has already included singles All Systems Are Lying / Run Free and New Earth Time, which as expected has received support from the world’s biggest tastemakers.

With nearly three decades of boundary-pushing releases, iconic remixes for artists including Daft Punk, Tame Impala, Robyn, The Rolling Stones and Peggy Gou, and unforgettable live performances as Soulwax and 2manydjs, the Dewaele brothers remain at the cutting edge. Alongside the new singles, Soulwax have also announced a run of UK and European headline shows across late 2025 and early 2026.
