Spill Tab Unveils New Single ‘Assis’ Ahead of Debut Album ‘ANGIE’
LA-based French-Korean artist Spill Tab has dropped her latest single, ‘Assis’, offering a fresh glimpse into her upcoming debut album, ‘ANGIE’, set for release on May 16. Seamlessly blending earthy funk grooves with soulful, bilingual lyricism, ‘Assis’ is a deeply emotive track, sung in both English and French, paying homage to her father’s language.
Produced by John Hill (FKA Twigs, Charli XCX) and Solomonophic (SZA, Remi Wolf), ‘Assis’ delivers a lush, cinematic soundscape influenced by psychedelic rock and vintage film scores. Lyrically, the song explores the slow-motion unravelling of a relationship, capturing the bittersweet contrast between love’s most tender and painful moments.
“The production for Assis feels like the stitching between a 50’s Italian film soundtrack and psychedelic rock. The song is about watching someone you love pull away from you in slow motion. You try to reconcile the beautiful, tender moments with the bitter ones, because ultimately you want no one else.” – Spill Tab.

As Spill Tab prepares to unveil ‘ANGIE’, the album promises to be a dynamic showcase of her genre-blurring artistry, featuring everything from grungy distortion to glitchy pop and euphoric guitar solos. With a string of high-profile collaborations and an impressive live presence—including past tours with Sabrina Carpenter and Wallows—Spill Tab is set for a major breakout year.
“I love this collection of songs so deeply,” she states, “they feel more honest than anything I’ve created in a long time, and I’m so proud of the hundreds (thousands??) of hours that were spent writing, producing, chipping away at vocals, tightening up harmonies, re-writing bass lines, deleting entire sections, coming up with completely new ones, with all the the insane collaborators that worked on this project. It’s really special to hear all these experiences on love and loss, rejection and passion, walking away and holding on too tight, all coexisting together in one place: a cumulation of these last few years of my life.” – Spill Tab.
She’ll soon hit the road with AIR in Europe and Perfume Genius in London, alongside a headline UK and EU tour in May and June.
