SPOTLIGHT: Annie Bass Tugs Our Heart Strings With New Single
Sydney songstress Annie Bass (real name Annabel Weston) has tugged our heart strings with her slow-burning and seductive debut single While I’m Waiting.
Co-written with Matt Morrison, While I’m Waiting demonstrates the sting of sadness from unrequited affection. With a soft, driving beat and smooth, gorgeously flowing vocals, Annie’s single encapsulates the feelings of dealing with one of life’s greatest obstacles. Come on, we’ve all experienced unreturned love, it blows! Settle into your self pity bubble bath and let Annie Bass’s While I’m waiting help with the coping process.
“While I’m Waiting was written during a time of headache and transition and it wasn’t until I finished it, that I realised I had been writing to myself,” Annie said.
Annie met Matt while studying a Bachelor of Jazz Performance, but it wasn’t until many years later they began writing together.
While I’m Waiting sees production from Anth Wendt (Oisima), mixing by George Nicholas (one third of Seekae), and mastering by well known Australia record producer Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Japanese Wallpaper, Oscar Key Sung).
With her fresh and enchanting voice we reckon Annie Bass will continue turning heads with her upcoming EP due for release later this year.
