Spotlight: Glaswegian Group Holy Esque With Powerful New Single

holy esque2

Scottish alt-rock outfit Holy Esque have dropped their deep new single Tear, the first offering from their upcoming light vs dark debut album ‘At Hope’s Ravine’.

Starting off slowly with a steady bass line, the song quickly builds up with Hynes’ raw, emotional howls, making this track sure to be on the radar of any alt-rock or post-punk enthusiasts.

Vocalist Pat Hynes explains, “’Tear’ is a great example of two of the central themes of the album – darkness vs. light, and hope. The song has an emotional weight and looks at the ever-constant fears and woes of everyday life against the hope of something better. It touches on escapism and the pursuit of greater things.”

After breaking through with their 2015 track Silences, the Scottish lads are set to make their mark in 2016 with debut album ‘At Hope’s Ravine’, set for release Friday the 26th February.
