SPOTLIGHT: Seratones Drop Honey-smooth Single

seratones

An elaborate recipe of tasty genres makes up the delicious sound of Louisiana alt-funk outfit Seratones. The 4-piece are ready to serve up their debut album headed by its sweet lead single Chandelier.

A splash of punk, a dash of soul, a pinch of jazz, and some rock ‘n’ roll. A.J. Haynes’ vocals go down smooth like honey, drizzled over a cruisey beat, funky bass, and surf-style guitar in Chandelier – The perfect vibe for a 3pm festival set. Not to mention this tight knit musical collection deliver an edible stage presence with Chandelier as seen on CBS Saturday Sessions.

Chandelier is the first taste of their forthcoming debut album ‘Get Gone’, due to drop Friday 6 May. Seratones are presenting their truest sounds with their album being constructed from all live takes. Recorded in the modest town of Water Valley, Chandelier is rapidly receiving critical acclaim throughout the USA.

The four members met at a small “punk club” a few years back and quickly gained recognition shortly after forming, winning the Louisiana Music Prize in 2013. Around the time of their single Necromancer, Haynes described the venue in an interview as more like “the places that let us play”.

Seratones debut album ‘Get Gone’ is available Friday 6 May.
