Straight Arrows Reveal New Single, ‘Don’t Shoot Me’ + Announce New Album

Sydney garage band Straight Arrows are back with a bang, announcing their new album Surface World and dropping their latest single, Don’t Shoot Me. This marks their first new material since their 2018 album On Top! and showcases their growth as one of the East Coast’s standout live acts and talented songwriters. The album is set to release on August 9.

Surface World already made waves with earlier singles Walkin Thru My Mind and Fast Product, setting high expectations. Now, Don’t Shoot Me, recorded at Marrickville’s Golden Retriever Studios with Nick Franklin, adds to the excitement. The track is energetic and attention-grabbing, promising fans more of the reverb, fuzz, and riffs they’ve come to love from Straight Arrows.

“Don’t Shoot Me is essentially about a piece of shit character; the aggressor playing the victim once he’s revealed. I’m sure ya all know one of them”OWEN PENGLIS, STRAIGHT ARROWS

Known for their powerful live performances, Straight Arrows have built a strong reputation, headlining packed venues across Australia and supporting big names like The Black Keys, Thee Oh Sees, and Deerhunter. Their consistent energy and talent have kept fans hooked throughout their career.

With Surface World, Straight Arrows are poised to capture the hearts of both old fans and newcomers. Get ready to dive into their explosive new sound when the album drops in August.
