Strangely Enough Returns With Another Unique Creation, ‘Are You More?’

Genre bending indie rock artist, Strangely Enough is back today with yet another forward thinking, creative single, Are You More?. It comes ahead of his long-awaited debut EP, Stories You Tell Yoursself, due out June 18.

It’s been quite the journey for Strangely Enough aka Greg Olley. Since his debut release back in 2017 he has seen massive support from some of Australia’s biggest tastemakers. Are You More? Carries on with this diverse and unique sound we’ve come to know from Olley, with it’s hypnotic synth work – created by an old, home recorded vocal sample, fast paced beat and rubbery bassline. Lyrically it carries a rather interesting message.

“This song started off being about climate change; a reflection on how easy it is to just not think about it but all the while knowing that your actions are contributing to this looming existential threat. As I was writing it the world went through multiple crises of our own making: racism, sexism, mass extinction, all of which are ongoing. I began to wonder how this time and my generation would be looked back on. Past generations sometimes seem unbelievably flawed, but here we are making terrible mistakes, the injustices of our society laid bare.” – Strangely Enough

I’ve watched Strangely Enough from the start of this project and he consistently impress’ me with his outstanding ability to create unique sounds with each of his releases. Are You More? Is available now, everywhere.
