Sumner Return With The Feel Good Vibe On Their New Single, ‘Good Light’

Tasmanian duo, Sumner has today revealed their brand new single, Good Light. It follows on from their previously well-received releases, Stranded and South.

Good Light is filled with feel-good melodies and uplifting overall vibes. Arpeggiated synth patterns, house-style bass lines and classic four-to-the-floor kicks make give you the summertime feels. The track is a message of love to their dedicated fans and you can feel that through every minute of the tune.

“Good Light is an ode for our audience members and listeners,”. It explores our devotion to them, alongside an offering of mutual understanding in regard to the way our bleak futures on Earth are heading. It’s an invitation to come in and let go of life’s mundane and monotonous stresses; lose yourself in the moment with us while we lose ourselves in you.” – Sumner

It’s been a steady rise for the talented duo since joining forces with Nick Littlemore and Pete Mayes Lab78 label, racking up some very impressive online streams, being billed on big festival bills and placing inside the top 200 of triple J’s Hottest 100.

Pete and I came across this band while on tour in regional Tasmania. We shared a stage together at the Forth pub on a sweet breezy day a few years back. We were struck by their fierce intensity. Chloe commanded the stage conjuring notes of Chrissie Hynde, Iggy Pop and Karen Finley. Jack the uber-cool, multi-instrumental wonder dazzling on any synth/bass or guitar he picks up and plays.” Nick Littlemore

Good Light is a striking single that will instantly put a smile on your face. It’s available now, everywhere via our pals at Lab78.
