Sweet Tempest Share Nostalgic Music Video For Dreamy Single The Truth

If you want to reignite your appreciation of life, look no further than Sweet Tempest’s new music video for The Truth.

The new music video from this Danish indie-pop duo is a montage of female vocalist Luna Kira’s simple memories of life, friendship, and love. There are flashbacks to garden parties, sunlight Sunday afternoons, and bedroom dance parties. All this is set to the track with a special warmth.

The clip perfectly suits the track, which is a pillowy blend of acoustics, light electrics, and Kira’s airy-fairy vocals. Simple, sweet lyrics like “We could share a cup of chai tea in the bedroom” implicitly communicate the importance and beauty of the everyday moments in life.

Both Kira’s, and male vocalist Napoleon Lafayette, views of the world makes sense when you get to know of their expressive musical past.

“Music has always been a part of my life. I’ve grown up in a family of hippies who sing songs around the bonfire. Ever since I was a child I’ve written rhymes and turned them into songs. Even since I was very young I’ve taken every opportunity to jump on stage.” Kira says.

“I started playing the Cello when I was 6 and have since moved onto several other instruments. Luckily, my family has always completely endorsed my desire to compose and perform music so there was never really anything else.” says Lafayette.

The Truth follows on from Sweet Tempest’s first EP ‘Snow’, released in 2015. The new release is much lighter, both lyrically and sonically, than the tracks comprising ‘Snow’. In our humble opinion, we are much more tempted by Sweet Tempest’s new sound and keen to hear what’s next!
