Swiss Goddess Anna Murphy Announces Australian Debut Tour

Anna Murphy, Hurdy-Gurdy superstar of Swiss folk-metal outfit Eluveitie, has announced she’ll be hitting our shores this month for two exclusive shows in Sydney and Melbourne showcasing her unique brand of hauntingly beautiful ‘night-bringing’ rock.

Apart from her own material, the intimate acoustic shows will also feature a selection of Eluveitie hits including Omnos, A Rose For Epona, and Memento. If that’s not enough,Murphy has recruited Eluveitie members Merlin Sutter (drummer) and Ivo Henzi (guitarist) to join her for this rare event.

Murphy first captured the attention of the international rock community as a solo artist in 2012 with the upbeat, vocally driven single Twin Flames. Murphy’s debut album, the Kickstarter-funded ‘Cellar Darling’, followed a year later.

Since then fans from all over the world have been captivated by the 25-year-old songstress’s Florence + the Machine style vocals and dark sardonic lyrics all wrapped in a blanket of pop, funk, electronica, and rock – or as the Anna coins it ‘Eclectica.’

For anyone who can’t make the shows, it’s not the end. The dark-haired beauty will return to us in May with Eleveitie for their Australian tour.
