Sydney Band House of Strangers Debuts With Entrancing Single ‘Many Faces’
Eora/Sydney-based newcomers House of Strangers have unveiled their debut single Many Faces — an atmospheric blend of alt-pop, indie rock, and electronic textures produced and mixed by Peter Holz (Peking Duk, Gang of Youths, Vance Joy).
The new project brings together Liam Sinclair (former guitarist of Sydney indie-pop outfit 90ivy/The Flowers), longtime friend Ethan Munn, and Sinclair’s sister Chloe. With shimmering layers of sound and concept-driven lyricism, Many Faces introduces House of Strangers as one of Sydney’s most exciting new acts to watch.

Lyrically, the track reflects on identity and vulnerability, exploring the fear of being truly seen. “From family and friends to passing strangers, we shift and shape ourselves to fit the moment,” says Sinclair. “Many Faces explores the quiet fear that if people saw every side of us, they might no longer relate, connect or care.”
The single is paired with a striking music video directed by Lewis Clark and Loz Maneschi, produced by MICA Studios. Using morphing visuals and layered ‘clones,’ the clip mirrors the track’s themes of fractured identity and shifting personas.
Drawing influence from Alex G, Radiohead, and Dijon, House of Strangers craft a debut that lingers long after listening, making for a very impressive debut.
‘Many Faces’ is out now worldwide.
