Sydney’s Reverse Revolution Impress With Debut EP Bonjour Aliens
Sydney punk-rock trio Reverse Revolution have made their mark with the release of their debut EP Bonjour Aliens, showcasing a level of songwriting and performance well beyond their years. With drummer/vocalist Deon Aldridge-Chow (12), guitarist Owen McEvoy (11), and vocalist/guitarist Axel Teoh (13) at the helm, the band have quickly established themselves as one of Australia’s most exciting young acts.
The four-track EP, featuring Sweet Honey Smoke, I Remember, My Place and Fade, captures the raw energy and restless spirit of adolescence. From high-octane riffs to reflective lyricism, Bonjour Aliens balances intensity with emotion, offering a sound that nods to punk greats like Green Day, Foo Fighters and Nirvana while carving out its own fresh identity.
“We’ve been working on Bonjour Aliens for a long time. We had to save up to record our songs, and are very thankful for all the people who supported our busking so we could make it happen.” – Owen McEvoy, REVERSE REVOLUTION
What makes Reverse Revolution’s achievement even more striking is the determination behind it. Too young for traditional jobs, the trio spent months busking in their local neighbourhoods to fund recording sessions. That DIY grit, combined with their natural chemistry and stage presence, has already attracted a viral following and sold-out live shows.
Bonjour Aliens sees Reverse Revolution prove that age is no barrier to talent and that their journey is only just beginning.
