Take 5 With GWYN

Sydney based Indie Electro artist GWYN has unveiled her intoxicating new single called I Don’t Mind, which we recently premiered. Today we’re super lucky to sit down with the talented young artist to find out who her favourite artists are of the minute and why! 

Tate McRae-Slower:

Been a fan of hers since ‘you broke me first‘ and she happens to be a dancer like myself! I love her emotional vocals and the drums in this one.

Taeyang-Eyes, Nose, Lips:

Gotta love a good ballad. Music from the late 2000s will always have my heart. Also, did you notice the early form of trap beat in the background!?  I put this one on loop all the time. You guys MUST check out the live versions too!

Tonight Alive-Come Home:

Well what can I say? Pop punk remains one of my favourite genres. Jenna’s a lyrical genius and this song makes me nostalgic and puts a smile on my face 🙂

Griff-One Foot in front of the other: 

The arrangement and production is so unique. I especially love the texture created with the synths. Not to mention it’s all self produced!? The theme of this song is so relatable. As you grow older, you tend to take longer to recover from… everything really! So be kind to yourself and give it some time 🙂

Kelsea Ballerini-half of my hometown (Ft. Kenny Chesney):

Despite growing up in metropolitan Hong Kong, I can never resist country music. I still have Kelsea’s first album at my parents’ place so I’m definitely a day one haha. I left home at 19 and this song makes me want to create more awesome music and make my family proud 🙂
