Take 5 with Jethro Morris

Central Coast based singer/songwriter Jethro Morris released his sublime and introspective new single ‘Welcome Home’ which we had the joy of premiering just last month. Today Jethro has shared with us his 5 favourite tracks of all time and why.

It’s Art – The Bug Club

On New Years Eve, the Trio played a show and an audience member recommended me this band after hearing us live. At the moment I really like this song and Quality Pints.

Left Alone – Fiona Apple

I’m a huge Fiona Apple fan and this song is just written so well. So many lyrics that stand out to me and the musicality behind the riff is really cool, also a huge fan of the raw production.

Heart of the Country – Paul McCartney

I’ve only recently started listening to Paul’s solo music. Really love this song at the moment, as well as Ram.

Sweet Willy Rollbar – The Melvins

I’ve recently been checking out the album Stoner Witch by The Melvins, as the cover art for my other bands next song (Kiss the Knife – Bad Witch) reminded me of it. This song is just a great jam.

Bop Gun (Endangered Species) – Parliament

Always loved Parliament and this is just a really fun song I love to put on, especially at work.

Jethro’s new single, ‘Welcome Home’ is available now, everywhere.
