Eora/Sydney-based singer/multi-instrumentalist Jordy Burns has just announced her debut EP, ‘Games‘ out on Thursday, April 18. Accompanying this announcement is her latest single off the record, ‘SecondChances‘ – produced by Luke Clark and mixed by Gambino. To celebrate the release today, Jordy has shared with us her 5 favourite tracks and why.
Soaked – LEON
This will forever be a song that I’m vibing… it’s my go-to happy, sad song. After a big day, a big
conversation or when I feel like I need to release some negative juju, I put this song on and let go. I’m not quite sure what it is about it that does it for me, but it will always be a go-to!
Got Me Started – Troye Sivan
Banger! I know everyone was obsessed with Rush and for good reasons, but this one hits me a little harder. I’m a lifelong fan of Troye’s and this one is my favourite from the new album. I’m a sucker for a cheeky dance song.
Love Again – Hattie Oates
I might be cheating with this one because it’s not released yet, but I love this song! I’ve recently
seen Hattie perform at a few shows in Sydney and this has been a stand-out favourite at each show. She’s such a great songwriter and gets the crowd buzzing with her originals, which is a feat in itself! Watch out for this tune.
Strangers – Lewis Capaldi
Lewis Capaldi will probably always make it onto a top 5 list for me. This is one of his latest
tunes on the new album have me feeling all the feels…I was eager for another track with his
trademark down verse and heart-wrenching chorus and he delivered for me with this one!
Letter – Meg Mac
I’ve only recently listened to a lot of Meg Mac’s music and wow I’ve been holding out on myself… What a voice! I really love her sound and am a little obsessed with this tune. I’m sure this will inspire some of my upcoming tunes.
