Take 5 With Shai Rose

Byron Bay Indie Folk songstress Shai Rose has just released her intoxicating new single called ‘Lost’ which we had the joy of premiering just last month. Today Shai has shared with us her 5 favourite tracks of the minute and why!

Billie Marten

Recently a friend of mine told me that she’s coming to Australia on a tour and that I have to go see her, sadly I was too far away from any of the shows but I started listening to her and I just fell in love. Billie Marten actually gives me hope and inspiration as an artist.

Gigi Perez:

The kind of artist that from the first second I listened to her, randomly from a playlist at work btw, she just captivated me. Every song of hers made me more and more curious about her and her sound. If she ever comes to Australia on a tour I’d be stoked to support her.

Phoebe Bridgers – i know the end:

Made me feel so many feelings, inspired me though recording my album THE ROAD. basically phoebe Bridgers is one of the main artists that really shaped me as a songwriter and helped me discover more sides in me.

Coloratura – Coldplay:

Sorry but Coldplay will be my forever favorite band, except Pink Floyd Coloratura to me is a masterpiece, the song that I’m putting whenever I feel lost or anxious, somehow it just calms me down, feels like magic really.

Post Malone – Lemon tree:

I’m seriously just secretly in love with Post Melone, I think he’s basically a genius. put aside the amazing melody, when i dived into the lyrics i immediately gained so much respect for him as an artist. Something about the meaning behind the chorus, talking about starting over and changing the game, what life supposably gave you and creating something better for yourself, I can really relate to that.

Shai Rose’ latest single, Lost is available now, everywhere.
