Take 5 With Sir Archer

Eora/Sydney-based band Sir Archer have returned with their sonorous single ‘Heed The Call‘ – produced by the band themselves and Jackson Barclay (Winterbourne, Vera Blue, WANDERERS).

‘Heed The Call’ unfurls with velvety vocals, dulcet keys and gentle percussion that strikes an alluring delicacy of musical tension. Sultry bass lines and reverberant guitars ebb and flow, before a sonic crescendo soars into a subtle yet powerful finale.

To celebrate the new release, Sir Archer have shared with us their five favourite albumsthat inspired their new single and why.

1) Holly Humberstone – ‘Paint My Bedroom Black’

We are BIG Holly fans. It must be basically impossible for her to write a bad song. And the vocal mix, recorded or live, is absolutely next level delicious.

2) War On Drugs – “I Don’t Live Here Anymore”
These guys are a drug themselves – addictive! The tones and sounds are LUSH. If you haven’t, you should. If you have, you know.

3) Parcels – “Live Vol. 1”.

Couldn’t be more thankful that this exists, and we don’t take it for granted. The vocal harmonies are a masterclass in how it should be done.

4) Coldplay – “Rush Of Blood To The Head”
This will never not be on one of our lists. It’s truly one of the greatest albums ever. You can’t get any “better” than this, only different. Thank you, Coldplay.

5) Holy Holy – “Hello My Beautiful World”
One of the finest bands coming out of Australia and one of the finest albums this band has created. Don’t sleep on this one. Deserves to be on repeat!

Sir Archer’s new single, Heed The Call, is available now, everywhere.
