Taking Back Sunday Set To Reclaim Airwaves In September!

Prepare to be swept away – New York alt-rockers Taking Back Sunday are set to drop their seventh studio album ‘Tidal Wave’ in September!

Tidal Wave is the first introduction to the band’s new evolved progressive pop punk sound, keeping their trademark punk aesthetic, but pushing their musical boundaries through maturation and experimentation.

Frontman Adam Lazzara said that while the album has more of an “Americana” feel, it still captures the musical essence of Taking Back Sunday. “With our first records, we were writing from the perspective of 17, 18-year-old kids, and as you grow old, the blinds get pulled back and you have a different way of looking at the world.”

The band have dominated the emo-pop-punk scene  with their classic punk sound since forming in 1988, and have sold millions of records with hit albums like ‘Where You Want To Be’, ‘Tell All Your Friends’, and ‘MakeDameSure’.

Mixing up Taking Back Sunday’s classic sound, we’re expecting a tsunami of new textures from ‘Tidal Wave’. Check out the title track below before the album releases on Friday, 16th of September.
