Tame Impala Unveils New Single ‘Dracula’ On Zane Lowe, Album Deadbeat Out October

Tame Impala fans, the wait is heating up. Kevin Parker has just announced the release of a brand-new track titled ‘Dracula’, which officially lands on September 26. The news broke during his recent interview with Zane Lowe, alongside a teaser clip that’s already setting socials ablaze.

Shared first in conversation with Lowe, Parker described ‘Dracula’ as one of the record’s defining moments — moody, pulsing, and drenched in that signature Tame Impala psychedelia. The Instagram teaser has given fans a taste of the track’s dark yet danceable energy, promising another exciting twist in Parker’s ever-evolving sound.

‘Dracula’ follows earlier singles ‘End of Summer’ and ‘Loser’, which have showcased Parker moving between sprawling acid-house explorations and raw, emotional storytelling.

Zane Lowe Interview Takeaways

In the chat, Parker doubled down on his creative headspace heading into this era:

  • He called the new material “wilder, rawer, and built to feel things deeply.”
  • He reflected on embracing vulnerability and discomfort as fuel for pushing his sound forward.
  • Most importantly, he confirmed the singles are all building towards a complete sonic journey on the new record.

New Album  Deadbeat Drops October 17

The upcoming album, Deadbeat, arrives October 17, 2025 through Columbia Records. It packs 12 tracks, recorded between Fremantle and Parker’s iconic Wave House studio in Western Australia.

Drawing influence from bush doof culture, the WA rave scene, and hypnotic minimalism, Deadbeat looks set to expand the Tame Impala universe into bold new territory.

With ‘Dracula’ dropping just weeks before the album, fans can expect a track that ties the threads of Tame Impala’s latest evolution together: dark, pulsating, and deeply immersive. If the teasers are anything to go by, this era is about to be Parker’s most daring yet.
