The 1975 Drop Sexy New Single
British heartthrobs The 1975 have released their brand new single Ugh!, the second taste of their highly anticipated sophomore album due out in just a few months time.
Ugh! sees the UK quartet continue to contemporise the best of the 80’s with a sublime serving of jagged guitar-pop laced with their signature funk edge, which is bound to get you grooving along.
The latest single is heavier and more beat-driven compared to the band’s previous INXS-inspired single Love Me, which, if anything else, only adds to the intrigue and anticipation surrounding the upcoming album.
Announced via a letter in June from lead singer Matthew Healy, which explored much of the history of the band and their meteoric rise since the release of their self-titled debut album in 2013, their upcoming tour and the later production stages of upcoming album represents a “new phase” for the band.
“This is the beginning of a new chapter for The 1975. Our new record signifies the start of a new world for us, a more colourful world, a less colourful world,” said Healy.
The 1975 lived up to their reputation as Britain’s biggest new band, selling out their Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane shows minutes after tickets went on sale in back in July.
The 1975’s second album “I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It” will be released on Friday 26th February.
