The Belligerents Drop Eclectic New Single & Tour
Brissy 5-piece The Belligerents have released sprawling and psychedelic new single Caroline. The single is the second taste from the band’s long-awaited debut album ‘Science Fiction’, set for release in November.
The song begins with a pulsing organ, and then right before you think you made your way through the windy labyrinth, you’re taken into a whole new technicolour dimension. Their spacey falsetto chorus and riff-roaring guitars are lovely, but it’s the relentless rattling rhythms that give the track it’s epic edge. There’s a lot going on in Caroline, but the quintet have managed to pull the irresistible dance tune off.
In the band’s own words, the single is “a backwards sort of love song about a person that you know you’re never going to be with”.
Caroline is the second single release from their forthcoming album and like their first single Before, I am, the band are pushing musical boundaries and experimenting with where their sound can take them – and the only way is up for The Belligerents!
Their new album ‘Science Fiction’ will no doubt be full of left turns and tangents, in the meantime check out Caroline and tour dates below!
