The Drones Announce Massive Album Tour

The Drones

It isn’t often we find ourselves right where we want to be, but sitting at a computer, reading a press release about The Drones heading on tour for their album ‘Feelin Kinda Free’ is as close to perfect as it gets.

‘Feelin Kinda Free’ is their seventh studio album and its already shaping up to be one of the best Australian releases of the year. The first single Taman Shud was as powerful as it was musically challenging. Filled with Gareth Liddiard’s notoriously seething political commentary, the jarring rhythm was a bit of a change for the band, but they still managed to pull it off.

The second single To Think That I Once Loved You delivered the dark, powerful, and mesmerising sound that The Drones do so bloody well. Featuring the haunting backing vocals of Melbourne band Harmony, the track doesn’t fail to send shivers down your spine.

Fans will have to wait until March 18th for the release of ‘Feelin Kinda Free’ via Tropical F*&k Storm Records and MGM Distribution. But with a long list of shows on the tour, we’re still pretty darn happy.
