The Drones Release Killer Second Taste Of Upcoming Album

The Drones

In case you haven’t heard, Aussie alt-rock royalty The Drones have released the second single from their upcoming album ‘Feelin Kinda Free’ and we are absolutely loving it.

Some are saying it will surprise a few fans but the anti-love song To Think That I Once Loved You has all the trademarks of what makes The Drones great, with sinister over-tones, warbling electric guitar, and lead singer Gareth Liddiard’s distinctive and captivating voice.

The track is beautiful and commanding, with the swelling and repetitive chorus sure to send shivers down your spine. The ethereal backing vocals from Melbourne group Harmony give the song a more delicate quality, creating a stark contrast to the first single from the album, the jolting, political “spew jam” Taman Shud.

‘Feelin Kinda Free’ is The Drones seventh studio album and is due out in Friday, 18th March. If the first two releases are anything to go by, the album is set to be a diverse but powerful musical masterpiece.
