The First NYD Is Melbourne’s Fresh New Years Day Music Festival
It’s such a hard choice come New Years 2018/9. Now Melbourne gets in the festivities with a brand spanking new festival, The First NYD.
Organisers behind the inaugural New Years Day festival are drip feeding the lineup and the first two acts are sure to get you gee’d up something fierce. Coming all the way from Queens, NY and pulling himself away from his VICE TV show, ‘Fuck That’s Delicious, is none other than Action Bronson. Joining him is Australia’s favourite dance revivalists, The Presets—who will return back home after an extensive stint overseas.
Other than that, organisers have us guessing as to what else the festival could hold. They’ve teased that the festival, “aims to deliver multiple stages with a focus on live electronic, hip hop, house and techno.” The Facebook event also confirms it will have art, performers, two stages and gourmet food trucks.
The First NYD hits Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Monday 1 January.
Not much more is known about the festival but you can keep up to date with more lineup announcements and ticketing HERE.
