The Francis Wolves Launching Album with Soul-festive Party
Don on your pork-pie hats and strap on your dancing shoes! Brisbane’s Afro-soul 8-pack The Francis Wolves (TFW) are about to launch their self-titled ‘Kickstarter campaigned’ debut album with a huge party in West End and you’re invited!
The night will showcase an eclectic line-up of great Aussie talent, featuring alternative soul-funk outfit Indigo and garage surf-rockers Doom Mountain. The instrumental groovers also have a handful of tight-lipped surprises in store for the show. On top of that fans will get the chance to score a copy of the album before the official release date.
The 8-track debut album is a collection of soul-sizzling, funkified soundscapes including latest single Gothic Surf Club – a psychedelic morsel full of dark undertones, fuzzed-out horns and an infectious drum beat. With the help of their currently active Kickstarter campaign, TFW hope to raise $4,000 to cover manufacturing costs. Their cut-off date is April 5th – Just 3 days before the launch, so time is short!
Although members of the band have been playing around Brisbane for several years, TFW only started to take off last year with the release of debut single Valley Heat. Since then TFW have received praise from Brisbane’s underground community for their sparkling old-school grooves and their ingenuity in flea market funk.
If you like your funk dirty, your soul heavy, and you’re keen to start your weekend off in style get down to TFW’s album launch!
