The Good Things 2025 Lineup Is Imminent—And the Rumours Are Wild

Australia’s loudest weekend of the year is almost upon us—well, the announcement anyway.

With Good Things Festival 2025 officially locked in for December 5–7, fans are buzzing as the full lineup is expected to drop any day now. The beloved alternative and heavy music festival will once again sweep through Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, bringing with it mosh pits, mayhem, and memories.

And there’s already a big shake-up for this year—Sydney is getting a brand-new venue. After several years at Centennial Park and earlier stints at Parramatta Park, Good Things is making a bold move to Sydney Showground, a site that’s no stranger to loud, chaotic energy. With improved transport links and more space to go big, this change is set to supercharge the Sydney experience.

So… Who’s Playing?

While the official lineup hasn’t dropped yet, the rumour mill is going into overdrive—and some names being tossed around have fans equal parts excited and stunned. The loudest whisper right now? Tool. The legendary prog-metal icons are being heavily tipped to headline, with some fans pointing to gaps in their tour schedule and cryptic social media hints as clues.

Adding fuel to the speculative fire, there’s talk that both Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson could be appearing on the same bill—a combination that seems extremely unlikely given the long-running and very public feud between Trent Reznor and Manson.

Other massive names doing the rounds in fan forums and Reddit threads include:

  • Linkin Park, with rumours of a comeback project and potential guest vocalists swirling.
  • My Chemical Romance, currently in the midst of the the Long Live The Black Parade tour, they are overdue for another Australian stop.
  • Good Charlotte, who are have a new album and feels like a natural fit for a nostalgia-heavy main stage slot.

Whether these rumours hold up or not, one thing’s for certain—Good Things has never missed when it comes to delivering a lineup stacked with both legends and cult favourites across punk, metal, emo, and everything in between.

Get Ready

If history is anything to go by, early bird tickets will disappear fast once the lineup drops. Mark your calendars:

  • Friday, December 5 – Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
  • Saturday, December 6 – Sydney Showground, Sydney (new venue!)
  • Sunday, December 7 – Brisbane Showgrounds, Brisbane

Stay tuned to AAA Backstage for the official lineup as soon as it lands—and maybe clear your December now, just in case.
