The Jungle Giants Return with Emotional New Single ‘Hold My Hand’ and National Tour Announcement

Australian indie favourites The Jungle Giants are back with their first new music in over a year, unveiling the deeply personal and orchestral-driven single, Hold My Hand. Marking the first glimpse of their highly anticipated fifth album, the track emerges from a period of self-discovery for frontman Sam Hales, following the end of a long-term relationship and a challenging recovery from a jet-ski accident.

Hales describes ‘Hold My Hand’ as the song that unlocked the album’s creative direction –

These are all beautiful, beautiful, positive memories that changed me for the better. It was just really hard to figure out a way to write about it and figure out a way to define how I felt. This song really helped open up a lot of the writing for the album. All the songs I wrote before weren’t feeling real enough. Once I landed on ‘Hold My Hand’, a lot of things fell into place for me. I had this real emotional reaction to it.”Sam Hales, The Jungle Giants.

Alongside the release, The Jungle Giants have announced a national Australian tour in April 2024, marking their first capital city tour in over two years. The band will kick off the run in Sydney on April 4, before hitting Newcastle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Brunswick Heads. Supporting them on all dates is Sycco, bringing a special DJ set to the stage.

With a new album set for release later this year, The Jungle Giants are gearing up for an exciting chapter.
