The Maggie Pills Announce Second Album & Drop Haunting New Single ‘Goths of Disgrace’
Melbourne uncompromising post-punk force, The Maggie Pills have announced their forthcoming sophomore album Hearts Enduring Lingering Loss, set for release on Friday, August 22. Alongside the news, the Naarm outfit have unveiled a gripping new single, Goths of Disgrace, a fuzz-soaked, slow-burn track that blends menace, melody, and raw vulnerability.
Driven by Delfi Sorondo’s ethereal yet cutting vocals, Goths of Disgrace explores themes of desire and destruction, anchored by angular guitars and a looming sense of dissonance.
“It’s about wanting something deeply – a project, a relationship, a life – and doing everything possible to destroy it. We put bitterness where we want sweetness. The art of love and the art of war get mixed up in the most confusing ways.” – Delfi Sorondo, The Maggie Pills.
To celebrate, The Maggie Pills will launch the single with a headline show at Shotkickers on Friday, July 25, followed by an impressive run of dates across Melbourne’s most iconic venues later this year. Known for their fierce live shows, the band has previously supported the likes of Black Lips (USA), Shihad, and Cable Ties, and sold out multiple headline gigs.
Goths of Disgrace is streaming now. Pre-order Hearts Enduring Lingering Loss via Cheersquad Records & Tapes, HERE.
