The Southern Dukes Break Out with High-Energy Debut Single ‘Free Man’

Perth-based country-rock outfit The Southern Dukes are kicking down the doors with their official debut single, Free Man. Blending the gritty storytelling of classic country ballads with the raw intensity of rock, the track introduces a bold new era for the band following their recent rebrand.

Previously known as The Eagleton Brothers, the group made waves in 2023, earning the title of WA Country Group of the Year. Now, under their new moniker, The Southern Dukes are pushing boundaries with their edgy, high-energy take on country music, capturing the hearts of fans across Western Australia.

Produced by guitarist Justin Gimm, Free Man showcases the band’s signature twang-heavy guitars, train-like grooves, and electrifying instrumentation. With Brandon Poletti’s powerful vocals, Miles Gilbert’s driving percussion, and Riley Burrows’ pulsing basslines, the song delivers an infectious, foot-stomping energy.

Inspired by a thrilling prison break narrative, Free Man captures the urgency and adrenaline of an escape, with its fast-paced rhythm and dynamic melodies. As The Southern Dukes gear up for more releases, this hard-hitting debut sets the stage for an exciting chapter in their journey.
