The Temper Trap Drought Is Over!

The Temper Trap have deprived us for almost three years now, however the drought will soon be over! They’ve just announced three intimate shows this May for Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. They’ll be playing off the back of their new single Thick As Thieves, their first release since their 2012 self-titled sophomore album.

Their latest single is taste for whats to come according to the band with the 4-piece taking a louder approach to their smooth alt-rock sound as heard in Sweet Deposition. Thick As Thieves is a departure from their usually reserved approach on previous records with a chugging rhythm section, lush layered vocal production, and power chords in the verses combining for an in-your-face bombastic rock chorus. It doesn’t take many listens to have this killer track stuck in your head and your rock horn hands waving in the air.

In a Facebook post the band said, “It’s been a long while coming but it’s finally time to let some of this music we’ve been working on out into the world! Thick as Thieves is a little sneak peak to get your earholes tingling for the upcoming record”.

“A lot has happened since the last album and those experiences, loves, desires, and struggles are distilled in these songs. It’s a new beginning, a reborn band, a band of brothers. We can’t reveal too much more than this right now but more news to follow very soon,” the post said.
