smith-street-band-press-release

Melbourne rockers The Smith Street Band has given us a trifecta of news, with the release of new track Death to the Lads, an accompanying music video, and national tour dates to commemorate the release.

Death To The Lads is the first taste of the band’s forthcoming album, that’s set for release early 2017. It’s a classic Smith Street track that was written on the road in America earlier this year, during their world tour around North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

The Smith Street Band are now back home to launch the new single amongst Aussie crowds. They’ll be supported by Melbourne punk rocker’s The Nation Blue, psych-trio Grim Rhythm, and Brisbane experimental pop band Forevr.

Check out tour dates and Death to The Lads below!

HÆLOS Announce Debut Aussie Gigs

0539_003 001

British electronica trio HÆLOS have announced two headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne as part of their tour for their debut album ‘Full Circle’.

The outfit’s debut album, released in March, defined their sound as ominous and enchanting – reminiscent of melancholic gods London Grammar, but with heavier electronics and faster pace.

HÆLOS will be touring with Melbourne-based producers Yeo and Christopher Port, as well as Sydney artist BUOY (who you’ll most likely recognised from this year’s banger Clouds & Rain). Although two gigs doesn’t quite equate to a national tour, we’ll take what we can get! If you can’t make it to Sydney or Melbourne, you can also catch HÆLOS at Falls Festival in Lorne and Byron Bay.
