The Dirty Pennies – Head Open
This week, we kick things off with The Dirty Pennies and their brain-spinning track, Head Open. If you’re a fan of true psych then this one is right up your alley. A kaleidoscope of a track, it carries all the classic elements of the genre and more. Filled with big moments, there is so much to love about this track.
Lou Raymond – Take Me Out
It’s no secret that we’re suckers for a good indie track here at AAA and man has Lou Raymond provided us with a treat in his latest offering, Take Me Out. Think The Strokes meets MGMT. Emotional vocals with a rich delivery of melodies and catchy hooks and you’ve got an instant classic. Love this track from start to finish.
Low Girl – Pockets
It’s not often a track captures the instant you press the play button, but that’s exactly what Low Girl have done with their latest track, Pockets. A track absolutely beaming with groove, it’s just so fucking catchy. Low Girl has a familiar sound but it’s equally uniquely their own. A hit that will be stuck in your head for days.
Future Problems – Honey
Another track that just pops out at you from the very instant you hear
it. Filled with some toe-tapping vibes, Future Problems new single, Honey is a mysterious track that tells the take of sobriety and substance abuse. It carries a style with a 90’s alt feel but with a modern-day vibe. A little darker, but so much to love with this track.
Smushie and Ryan Gebhardt – Mr. Number One
After a fuzzy track that just fills you with abundant joy? Well Smushie and Ryan Gebhardt’s latest offering Mr. Number One is just the track for you. This one is seriously like a big ball of sunshine. Carrying elements of a classic indie rock tune, there is nothing you can’t love about this tune. I’ve had it on repeat since it first landed on my desk.
Fleur De Peau – Stroboscope
There is something incredibly catchy about wonderous pop tunes delivered in French. I was always a big fan of Yelle and the likes purely because of the vocal delivery. Fleur De Peau’s latest tune, Stroboscope fits that narrative perfectly. Filled with dreamy moments and a cloud-like musical offering, this one is for those sunny afternoons when you just need a daydream moment.
RobinAugust – Boy Obsessed
This is one of those tracks that slaps you in the face with a wall of noise. Nashville rocker, RobinAugust’s latest track oozes with a classic NYC fuck you punk vibe. From its catchy guitar work to its powerful sing-along lyrics, there isn’t much this track doesn’t have. One for the rock enthusiasts, you’ll be hooked from the instant you hear this one.
Mammabear – State Of Grace
Once again, if you need a good rock rinsing, then Mammabear’s latest track, State Of Grace, will be right up your alley. Classic garage vibes meet fuzzy hooks with a modern drive, a driving tune that keeps you engaged throughout it’s four-minute lifespan.
Jewel Owusu – b-day
We’re pretty big fans of Jewel Owusu here at AAA. With her delectable delivery of indie alt-pop, she has a real knack for putting together tracks that slap. Her latest offering, b-day does exactly that. Filled with dynamic production and super catchy vocal hooks this track is an ideal addition to your uplifting playlists for the weekend.
Maida Rose – Pheonix
Closing out this weeks slap is Maid Rose and their latest offering, Pheonix. We thought we’d leave this one till last because it’s like an enchanting piece of bedtime music. Its head-swaying, dreamy delivery is perfect for those chill or downtime playlists. It’s a beautiful track that grabs you from the instant you press play. We love it and we’re sure you will, too!
