The Weekly Slap #59

Welcome to the AAA Backstage Weekly Slap, where we give you the latest new music we think absolutely slaps! Each week we scour through our emails and bring to you the top hits from our inbox. So sit back, whack on your headphones, turn the dial to eleven and let us do the selecting.

EMEREE – Butterfly Boy

Enter the sultry groove of EMEREE and her new single, Butterfly Boy. This is one of those tracks bring on the goosebumps, from start to finish this one covers a wide range of emotions. EMEREE’s stunning vocals atop some incredible production make it pop. This could easily be on a James Bond soundtrack.

The Dare – Perfume

Ok, I think it’s fair to say that this guy is an absolute superstar in the making. Already impressing the likes of Zane Lowe, The Dare’s new single, Perfume is going to be a hit with lovers of indie dance from the 00’s. It’s like James Murphy and Calvin Harris made a musical baby. This honestly slaps so hard it’s not funny. I FUCKING LOVE IT.

Shifty Peaks – Coast to Coast

Do you like your music to not follow any rules? This new one from Adelaide band Shifty Peaks is going to fit right into your playlists. Coast to Coast is a fun and bright track that gave me an instant smile when I first listened. It’s garage style guitar and carefree vocal delivery just make it a big ball of good times. If you dig Eddy Current then you’ll absolutely love Shifty Peaks.

Funeralcare – Never Good

If alt-pop with some synth groove is your thing, you’re going to get right into Funeralcare and their latest gem, Never Good. This gives a bit of Shirley Manson and a bit of trip hop and a bit of.. well, Funeralcare. Impossible to not like, this one will resonate with almost everyone. Beaming with character, Funeralcare are onto something here.

Theo Adler – Golden Karma

Closing out this week’s bunch of slapping tunes, comes this grooving jam from UK indie artist, Theo Adler and his latest single, Golden Karma. A track that oozes with style, it carries a bit nostalgia and a whole heap of super cool shit. Once you press play you’ll get it. A super catchy track that is sure to be a hit with playlists all over. We really dig this one.

All these tracks and more are added to our Weekly Catch Spotify and Apple Music playlists. So if you want an easy option where you just push and play and shuffle away, we’ve got you!

If  you’re an independent artist and want to have your music featured in The Weekly Slap hit us up! You can pitch your music via Musosoup, Groover or Direct!
